Deportivo's Miguel Angel Lotina has ruled out moves for Mexican duo Giovani dos Santos and Carlos Vela

Dos Santos and Vela both linked with moves to Portugal

Deportivo La Coruna coach Miguel Angel Lotina has ruled out moves for Mexican forwards Giovani dos Santos and Carlos Vela. The pair are currently representing their nation at the World Cup in South Africa, and both featured in Mexico's 1-1 draw with the hosts last Friday. Dos Santos is currently contracted to Tottenham having spent part of last season on loan at Galatasaray. Vela, meanwhile, plies his trade at Arsenal but struggled for regular action at Emirates Stadium last term despite signing a new long-term deal in December. Lotina confirmed his liking for the Mexicans but conceded he will no longer be chasing up his interest this summer. "The names were put on the table (as possible signings)," the coach told Deportivo's official newspaper. "But they won't be coming."
