Montenegrin starlet opts for move to Serie A

Fiorentina have pulled off a transfer coup after winning the battle for Montenegrin starlet Stevan Jovetic. The teenage forward has been interesting Real Madrid and Manchester United, with previous reports claiming the Premier League champions were willing to spend £7million on Jovetic. However, Fiorentina have confirmed that the 18-year-old has accepted a move to the club from Partizan Belgrade, with the fee rumoured to be in the region of 8million euros (£6.3m). Jovetic is already a full international with Montenegro and is the captain of the country's Under 21 side. Viola coach Cesare Prandelli has been lining up a deal for the highly-rated attacker for several weeks and has now clinched his signature. The swoop for Jovetic follows on from the capture of Alberto Gilardino, who joined the UEFA Champions League qualifiers from Milan earlier in the week.
