Inter striker unhappy with Champions League failure
Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims he would happily trade in another Serie A crown for UEFA Champions League glory.
Despite dominating domestically, Inter have been unable to impress in Europe and crashed out at the last 16 stage at the hands of Manchester United having suffered a similar fate against Liverpool last term.
Sweden international Ibrahimovic, who has been linked with a summer move away from the reigning Italian champions, is growing tired of being unable to secure success on the continent's biggest stage.
"I want the Champions League. Every year I have to postpone the appointment and I'm not happy about it," he told GQ magazine
"I play to win, that's my mentality. If I could swap the scudetto for the Champions League, I'd do it without a second thought."
Ibrahimovic refused to accept that an early meeting with the current European champions could be used as any excuse for their departure in the first knockout round.
"We are Inter and don't talk to me about the luck of the draw," he added.
"I wanted United because if you want to win, sooner or later you have to beat them.
"However, they proved to be more organised. If one player goes out and another comes in, he does the same job and you can't see any difference.
"The defeat to Manchester has made me very annoyed. This time I really believed, I saw the opportunity and I'm not happy about losing.
"If I win another scudetto it will be a great honour but if I could swap it for the Champions League I would, I really miss that."
