Cottagers boss insists youngster is not certain to arrive

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson insists he is still mulling over whether to bring in Roma striker Stefano Okaka on loan this month. The Cottagers have been tipped to sign the 20-year-old, although Hodgson says his arrival is anything but certain. Hodgson has confirmed the West Londoners are continuing to monitor his situation, but fell short of confirming a deal will happen. Fulham's manager is currently pleased with the form of his attacking options and says they will only make a loan signing if the player in question is desperate to show the club what he can do.

Situation

"If it was to happen it would be a loan, but as I say we're looking into the situation," Hodgson told Sky Sports News. "At the moment I can't give you a definite answer on whether we will be loaning him or whether we will not be. "There're lots of things to consider. One of the things to consider is that we've got front players at the club who are doing well and working hard. "If I was going to take a loan player then it would be someone who's really desperate to come here and really anxious to use Fulham and show us what a great player he is and how keen he is to play and they are the things we need to look into."
