Youngster encouraged to return to De Kuip on loan after Inter move
Feyenoord youngster Luc Castaignos has been encouraged to return to De Kuip on loan next season.
Castaignos has agreed to join European champions Inter Milan on a four-year contract in the summer after bursting on to the scene with Feyenoord.
The 18-year-old attacker will face stiff competition for a place in the Inter side next season, with the likes of Samuel Eto'o and Diego Milito at coach Leonardo's disposal.
And Martin van Geel, who is to become Feyenoord's technical director, believes Castaignos' career would benefit from a season on loan in Dutch football.
"I understand now he would rather stay at Inter to compete with Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o but in the summer when he discovers that he might not get the chance to play he might consider things," Van Geel told NUsport.
"I think it is a serious option for him. Playing here next season will help his development. He is only 18 you know."
