Uruguay striker fully recovered from serious hamstring injury
Inter Milan striker Diego Forlan has revealed he is ready to make his first-team comeback after recovering from a hamstring injury.
The 32-year-old picked up what he later described as the most serious injury of his career whilst on international duty with Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier against Paraguay in mid-October.
The former Manchester United forward has not played since, but says he is now primed for a return to action.
"I'm very well right now," the South American stated. "After all, this injury has been a positive thing as it gave me the opportunity to take a breather.
"Now I have resumed training and playing with the team and we hope to do well."
However, Forlan insists he will leave it up to manager Claudio Ranieri to decide exactly when he will return to the Inter first-team.
"Ranieri knows what is the best thing to do, given his years of experience," he added.
"Together with the doctors, he will make the right choices for me and the team and I am calm."
