With the World Cup now less than 50 days away, clubs across Europe will be increasingly desperate to get deals done before the tournament kicks off in Russia.

Spain

Barcelona transfer target Antoine Griezmann has decided he wants to play for the La Liga champions next season after being left frustrated by his lack of silverware at Atletico Madrid. But Barca are reluctant to pay the France international's €100million (£88.08m) release clause and would prefer a staggered succession of payments, even if that means the 27-year-old costs more. Clarence Seedorf has hinted he will step down as Deportivo La Coruna coach at the end of the season. Depor's 4-2 defeat to Barcelona on Sunday saw them relegated to the Segunda Division after the Dutchman won just two of his 13 games in charge. Seedorf said: "My future is open." (Various)

Italy

Juventus transfer target Emre Can is set to sign a five-year contract with the Turin side this summer after turning down a late approach from Paris Saint-Germain. Can, whose Liverpool contract expires at the end of June, is being lined up as Sami Khedira's long-term replaced in Turin. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Inter striker Mauro Icardi is likely to be sold if the Nerazzurri fail to qualify for the Champions League this season. Inter lie fifth, four points behind Lazio and Roma in third and fourth, and if Luciano Spalletti's side are unable to bridge the gap he will be sacked and €100m-valued Icardi sold to ease the financial blow. Lazio are yet to receive any bids from Real Madrid and Barcelona for star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to sporting director Igli Tare. Barca are also keen on signing midfielder Luis Alberto but Tare insists there has been "no contact". (Premium Sport)

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has laughed off criticism of "goal machine" striker Robert Lewandowski as "ridiculous". Lewandowski has been accused of hiding in big games ahead of Bayern's match in the Bernabeu on Tuesday night as Die Roten look to reverse their 2-1 deficit to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals. Bayern Munich youngster Niklas Dorsch is in talks with "several Bundesliga clubs" after deciding to leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season. Defensive midfielder Dorsch, 20, marked his first-team debut on Saturday with a goal against Eintracht Frankfurt but has turned down Bayern's offer of a new contract in a bid to win more first-team football elsewhere. PSG striker Kylian Mbappe has defended departing manager Unai Emery claiming the Spaniard is a "very good person". Mbappe admits he is sad to see Emery leave the club after the Spaniard had been criticised for his tactical decisions in some matches. (L'Equipe)

Rennes midfielder James Lea-Siliki is being closely watched by Monaco after a breakout season in Ligue 1. Lea-Siliki, who scored, made an assist and was sent off in Rennes' 2-1 win over Toulouse on Sunday, is under contract until 2021. (L'Equipe)
