Inter see off Reggina as Genoa beat Udinese

Inter Milan restored their seven-point advantage at the top of the table with a comfortable victory over Reggina, while Napoli held AC Milan. Juventus kept the pressure on Inter Milan with a win at Roma on Saturday evening, but Jose Mourinho's men responded by seeing off bottom club Reggina 3-0. Much of the damage was done inside the opening ten minutes as Esteban Cambiasso and Zlatan Ibrahimovic found the target. Ibrahimovic then grabbed his second goal of the contest in the 58th minute to leave Reggina six points from safety. Napoli have been in freefall in recent weeks, collecting just three points from their last 10 matches, but they frustrated AC Milan in the evening match. Milan had been looking to stay in touch with second-placed Juve but they were unable to break down Napoli's resistance and the game finished goalless. Fourth-placed Genoa overcame Udinese 2-0 at home to boost their chances of qualifying for Europe. Giuseppe Sculli broke the deadlock in the 59th minute before Udinese were reduced to ten men when Alexis Sanchez was sent off. Diego Milito then added a second for Genoa on 90 minutes to seal an important win. Fiorentina returned to winning ways after a recent wobble with a hard-fought 1-0 success against lowly Siena. Adrian Mutu struck the decisive blow in the 71st minute and Fiorentina held firm in the closing stages. Struggling Lecce earned a point at home to Atalanta as Fabio Caserta's last-gasp penalty gave them a 2-2 draw. Caserta had fired Lecce in front after 10 minutes but a brace from Simone Padoin (30 and 48) put Atalanta in control for much of the game. Torino remain in the drop zone following a 3-1 defeat to Sampdoria. Samp moved into a two-goal lead courtesy of goals from Giampaolo Pazzini (8) and Paolo Sammarco (24), before Rolando Bianchi reduced Torino's arrears in the 29th minute. Antonio Cassano made it 3-1 after 69 minutes to kill off Torino's resistance and take Samp into a more secure mid-table position. Cagliari claimed a 1-0 win at Bologna thanks to Robert Acquafresca's effort on the stroke of half-time. Chievo continued to pull away from trouble with a 1-0 victory over Palermo, Luciano scoring the crucial goal in the 45th minute.
