Bayern Munich have agreed a youth development deal with former top-flight outfit SpVgg Unterhaching.
Youth project signed with 'elite partner' Unterhaching
Bayern Munich have agreed a deal with former top-flight outfit SpVgg Unterhaching which will see the clubs work together in youth development.
Defending Bundesliga champions Bayern and third-tier side Unterhaching are now official partners and will share up-and-coming talent.
Unterhaching executive Erich Meidert has expressed his delight at the deal and he hopes that it will prove to be a positive project.
He told his club's official website: "This agreement is an honour for our club. It is a credit to everyone at our club.
"We are proud to get the opportunity to do this. We feel it is also an obligation to work on this agreement.
"We want to contribute to this as much as possible to warrant the trust we have given to this."
Unterhaching will now act as an 'elite partner' of Bayern Munich, like third-division rivals Kickers Offenbach, Bundesliga 2 side FC Ingolstadt 04 and fourth-tier outfit SSV 1846 Ulm.
