Captain named in provisional squad despite racism row
Sky Sports News understands John Terry has been named in England's provisional squad for the friendlies against Spain and Sweden.
Fabio Capello has included his captain despite an ongoing investigation into allegations Terry racially abused Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand last month.
The Chelsea centre-half denies the charge and is expected to be in action for his club at Blackburn on Saturday.
Capello is due to finalise his squad for the friendly double-header after Sunday's Premier League games.
The Italian is believed to be discussing Terry's involvement in the squad with the hierarchy at the Football Association.
Terry could find himself losing the England captaincy for the second time in his career if he is found guilty of racially abusing Ferdinand after Capello previously stripped the Chelsea man of the armband before the 2010 World Cup over his alleged affair with former team-mate Wayne Bridge's ex-girlfriend.
England host World Cup winners Spain at Wembley on 12th November, before taking on Sweden three days in the capital.
