Carra's defence of Salah
Carragher then defended Mo Salah's form with Liverpool, insisting "too much has been made" of his slow start to the season.
The Egyptian scored 44 goals for Liverpool last season, scooping both the PFA Player of the Year Award and the Golden Boot as he helped his side reach the Champions League final.
He has scored three goals in his first nine games this term, but former Liverpool defender Carragher insists Salah, who only had four goals at the same stage last season, is being unfairly questioned.
"He's not in great form, but I don't really think he's in bad form either," said the Sky Sports expert. "I think a little bit too much has probably been made of Salah's form. He is only one goal down on last season."

Stat of the Match

Bournemouth best of the rest?
Bournemouth moved up to seventh place in the Premier League after beating Crystal Palace. Can they stay there?
Eddie Howe: "We made a tactical switch and we were able to build on that and finish the game really strongly. It's a massive part of our armoury, really. The fitness levels of the players are second to none. They're a very dedicated group, they're very professional and they look after themselves in the right way. The spirit and the togetherness has always been there. If anything, we've enhanced it and built on it and it does enable us to stay in games and chase games well. I was really pleased with the desire of the players to win."
Roy Hodgson: "Both the free-kick and the penalty were errors on our part and we paid a high price for it. We shouldn't have given a free-kick away and I've told Alex that. It was an unnecessary push in the back so I'm disappointed about that and the penalty… I don't know that Mama deliberately tried to catch him with his elbow. I'm pretty sure when they look at the replay, people will see Mama catch (Lerma) with his arm and as a result the referee gives a penalty."
