Fleetwood Town striker David Ball's goal against Preston in March has been shortlisted for FIFA's goal of the year award.
Ball's goal at the Highbury Stadium is one of 10 goals on the shortlist for the prize, which will be voted for by fans, and the winner will be announced on January 11 at the Ballon d'Or ceremony.
The 25-year-old's goal saw him produce some wonderful close control 20 yards out before lofting an exquisite chip over Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone into the top corner of the net.
It was not even shortlisted for goal of the season at last season's Football League Awards, but is now up against efforts from Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez and Carli Lloyd, among others.
Lloyd's goal from 50 yards for the United States was one of the highlights of the Women's World Cup, while Messi's shortlisted goal came against Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey final, where he dribbled past four defenders before slotting the ball home.
FIFA and selected Football Committee members chose the list, with fans now responsible for voting for the FIFA Puskas Award.
Real Madrid striker James Rodriguez's stunning volley for Colombia at the World Cup scooped last year's award, with Ireland's Stephanie Roche finishing second in the vote for her superb goal while playing for Peamount United.
