Jonny Evans is back training with Northern Ireland at Windsor Park after missing the 1-1 draw in Romania due to "personal reasons" - with boss Ian Baraclough confirming he is in contention to feature against Norway.
Leicester defender Evans did not travel to Bucharest with the rest of the team as Baraclough gained a point in his first game in charge since replacing Michael O'Neill in April.
The 32-year-old's return is a defensive boost for Northern Ireland, who are without Sunderland defender Tom Flanagan for their second Nations League match against Norway on Monday, live on Sky Sports Football.
Flanagan withdrew last week as his wife is due to give birth, with Arsenal's 20-year-old defender Daniel Ballard called up in his place and making his senior debut in Friday's Nations League opener.
Asked if Evans was in contention to play against Norway on Monday, Baraclough told Sky Sports: "Yeah [and] it was good to see him.
"He'll be looking forward to the game I'm sure - as his last game was getting sent off against Manchester United! He wants to get back out on the pitch again, he wants to get minutes under his belt and prepare as well as anybody."
Meanwhile at Windsor Park, Jamal Lewis, who could be set to sign for Newcastle after relegated side Norwich accepted a £13.5m bid, is also training and has not left the camp despite the developments.
"Exciting times for him, stepping back into the Premier League," Baraclough said about Lewis' potential move. "We believe he is a Premier League player and he has all the attributes for that.
"He's still learning in many ways, and if he was to complete the move to Newcastle I think Steve Bruce would be a fantastic manager for him, to give him more of an education and take him onto another level.
"I'm sure the Newcastle fans would be pleased to see him - and it gives us a boost to have someone else from the Premier League in our ranks too."
Leeds' Stuart Dallas, who could make his Premier League debut against Liverpool next week - live on Sky Sports - has sat out training while striker Kyle Lafferty is not training either.
