Steven Gerrard will continue to wear the No 8 shirt at LA Galaxy, when he signs for the club in the summer from Liverpool.
The MLS club have announced that Gerrard will wear number eight on the back of his shirt, having maintained the same number at Liverpool for over 10 years.
The Liverpool captain is set to make his LA Galaxy debut on July 17, when his new side face San Jose Earthquakes at the Stubhub Center, and Gerrard's shirt is available for around £114 from official suppliers.
The former England midfielder is set to play in his last ever Merseyside derby when Liverpool travel to Goodison Park to play arch rivals Everton on Saturday Night Football.
The 34-year-old scored in the 1-1 draw at Anfield in September to make it 10 goals in Merseyside showdowns.
Liverpool are in a rich vein form going in to Saturday’s clash, having gone seven unbeaten in the Premier League, following last weekend’s 2-0 victory over West Ham.
