Cristiano Ronaldo has completed his second hat-trick of the tournament - topping the World Cup Power Rankings for a third successive matchday.

Ronaldo retained top spot after scoring four goals in the opening two games before missing a penalty during the controversial 1-1 draw with Iran - a result that sent Portugal to the knockout stages as Group B runners-up and eliminated Iran.

Brazil rekindled their swagger with a convincing 2-0 win over Serbia to secure passage to the last 16 as Group E winners - with Philippe Coutinho (No 2) and Neymar (No 3) assisting the goals and almost ousting Ronaldo in the rankings.

Belgium edged England 1-0 on Thursday as both sides made wholesale changes, having already qualified for the knockout stages, with Romelu Lukaku (No 4) and Harry Kane (No 5) missing the game but retaining lofty chart positions.
