Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko has given the clearest indication yet that he intends to remain on Tyneside.

Sissoko’s future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent days following the departure of Alan Pardew as Newcastle’s manager.

The 25-year old has been linked with moves to Arsenal and PSG but a tweet from Sissoko on Friday has given Newcastle fans hope that he will stay at St James' Park.

“I'm a professional player and I stay focused on my team NUFC #DontListenToRumours” Sissoko posted on social networking site Twitter.
