He spent 20 years at Milan - the only club he ever played for - but also captained Italy at the USA World Cup in 1994.
Over his illustrious playing career he won no fewer than six Serie A titles and the European Cup/Champions League on three occasions.
Baresi's magnificent achievements mean he has played alongside some of football's finest and it was a great honour for him to pick his ultimate XI for the Fantasy Football Club.
Below we've picked out two of his selections but watch the video above for his full #One2Eleven.
Frank Rijkaard
"Rijkaard was the best midfielder I've ever played with. As a player he had everything a midfielder needed to have - physique, technique, speed, an eye for goal. He was a professional and a wonderful person, very kind and loved by all."
Roberto Baggio
"Roberto Baggio came to AC Milan briefly but we played together for many years in the national squad, firstly during the 1990 World Cup in Italy and USA '94. A remarkable boy, a really nice person, an incredible player who scored great goals at both national and international level. Unfortunately he scored a few goals against us while at Juventus! I remember the one against Czechoslovakia at Italia 90 when he started from nearly the half-way line, went past two or three players and scored."
