Farum swoop for Madsen

FARUM BK have swooped to sign VFL Wolfsburg striker Michael Madsen, with just a medical standing between the striker and a move to Denmark.

The Danish club have revealed that the move came about at the last minute, with them luring the former Bari star to Farum after he was told he had no future at Wolfsburg.

"That is quite true, but we are missing the last details and there is a medical this evening," commented Farum BK director Jorgen Torm to Onside.dk

Madsen agreed terms and signed the deal ahead of Saturday`s transfer deadline, with the medical expected to prove no more than a formality.

The 28-year-old had a difficult season with Wolfsburg, following his move from Bari, and will look to kick-start his career in his native Denmark.

Meanwhile, Emeka Ifejiagwa and Gernot Plassnegger have left the club in order to gain first team experience.

Nigerian international Ifejiagwa and Plassnegger have both joined Waldhof Mannheim on loan.

Mannheim completed the triple swoop after also snapping up Robert Ratkowski on a free transfer from FSV Mainz 05.
