Williams stokes City`s fire

WIMBLEDON defender Mark Williams has joined Division One strugglers Stoke City until the end of the season.

Tony Pulis brings the Northern Ireland stopper straight into the squad to take on high-flying Sheffield United at home on Saturday

Williams, capped 19 times by his country has been drafted in because Frazer Richardson has been recalled by Leeds United from his loan spell.

Williams told The Potteries official website: "I'm pleased with the move and I'm looking forward to playing in a stadium in front of good fans who get behind the team."

In other Dons news, Stuart Murdoch has raided Arsenal once again to sign 18-year-old winger Michael Gordon.

Gordon has signed a one-year deal with The Crazy Gang and joins former Gunners team mate Ben Chorley on Wimbledon's books.
