Royals look at Aussie

Australian Under-20 international keeper Adam Federici is training with Reading.

Australian Under-20 international Adam Federici is trying to clinch a contract with Reading.

The young goalkeeper is training with The Royals in an attempt to earn a second chance in English football.

Federici signed non-contract forms with Wolves in February 2003 but left the club in March this year for Italian side Sassari Torres.

He has now returned to England and has spent over a week under the gaze of Royals boss Steve Coppell and his coaching staff.

The shot-stopper featured for the reserves against Colchester United and will be waiting to discover if he has impressed.

Reading are looking to bring in a third keeper as the Championship club want to farm out Jamie Young on loan.
