Morrison hit with FA charge
Birmingham City striker Clinton Morrison has been charged with improper conduct.
Birmingham City striker Clinton Morrison has been charged with improper conduct by The Football Association after a clash with Bolton's Nicky Hunt. The incident took place during Tuesday's Premiership encounter between the two sides at St Andrews that Bolton won 2-1.
Morrison was caught on camera pushing Hunt to the ground following a confrontation between Bruno N'Gotty and Emile Heskey.
The incident was missed at the time by match official Uriah Rennie, but The FA have decided to take action after reviewing video footage.
Rennie has subsequently studied the incident and has revealed he would have cautioned the player rather than send him off which is likely to act in Morrison's favour.
The FA still have the jurisdiction to impose a one-match ban on the former Crystal Palace star, but a warning about his future conduct looks the most likely outcome.
