Sociedad agree Dragan deal

Real Sociedad have agreed a deal to sign Rangers midfielder Dragan Mladenovic.

Real Sociedad claim they have agreed a deal to sign Rangers midfielder Dragan Mladenovic on loan.

The Spanish club have made the move for the Serbia & Montenegro international to fill the void left by long-term injury victim Igor Jauregui.

Jauregui is set to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring problem and Sociedad have been given special dispensation by the Spanish Football Association to sign a player even though the transfer window is closed.

Rangers are willing to let Mladenovic leave as the player has struggled with a series of injuries since arriving at the club.

Sociedad are believed to have agreed a loan deal until the end of the season for a fee of ‚é¼250,000 with the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

The player's agent Ken Anderson confirmed talks were underway over a move and that a deal was close to being sealed.

"We are in negotiations and discussions are ongoing at present," Anderson told skysports.com

"Dragan is set to go to Sociedad after he plays for his country to undergo a medical."
