John Fitzgerald is hoping to make his loan switch to Bury a permanent one.The 21-year-old defender is temporarily at Gigg Lane, but has been told he has no future with owners Blackburn Rovers.
Fitzgerald is expecting an offer from Bury in the coming weeks and is keen to remain with the side - after settling in quickly with the squad.
"I've not got a future at Blackburn, they have already told me that and there is a bit of interest from Bury," explained Fitzgerald.
"They have said that they will be offering me something and that will be sorted out in the next few weeks.
"They are a great bunch of lads here at Bury and I have really enjoyed being with them, there are some great characters in that dressing room.
"We've had some good results recently and we are trying to make our place in the league a lot more respectable."
