Grimsby Town's French trialists have headed back across The Channel, but could still return later in the summer.Mariners chief Russell Slade has cast his net into Europe in order to breathe new life into his squad and he brought Makhtar N'Diaye (pictured) and Majid Ben Haddou over for trials.
The pair were set to take part in Grimsby's rigorous pre-season training camp, but injuries have cut short their spells.
N'Diaye, a Senegal international, has been plagued by injuries of late and has returned to Rennes in the hope of sorting out his problems.
Ben Haddou, an Algerian by birth with a French passport who had a spell with Nice, informed Slade that he too was struggling with a knock and both have returned to France, although the Mariners chief has not ruled out the prospect of them returning later in the summer.
