Louis-Jean back after lay-off
Norwich defender Mathieu Louis-Jean has returned to full training after almost a year out.
Norwich City defender Mathieu Louis-Jean has returned to full training after almost a year out with a hamstring injury. The 30-year-old managed just two games for the Canaries last term after rupturing his hamstring early in the season.
Louis-Jean had only arrived at Carrow Road weeks before as part of a swap deal with Nottingham Forest but was soon sidelined for the season with the injury.
Now back in full training, Norwich boss Nigel Worthington is hoping the Frenchman will play an important role next season but insists he will not be rushed back to first-team action.
"It was his first morning back with the group again," Worthington told the club's official website.
"He's joined in the early part of it and then we had to take him out because we want to build him up nice and steadily.
"The level of training the other lads are at is very intense. But hopefully we can get him through and the next couple of weeks we can go from there."
