QPR won't sell assets

QPR chairman Gianni Paladini insists he will not sell any of the club's best players.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Gianni Paladini insists he will not sell any of the club's best players in the January transfer window.

Buoyed by rising star Ray Jones' recent decision to sign a new contract, Paladini is determined to keep John Gregory's squad intact.

The likes of Dexter Blackstock, Lee Cook and Martin Rowlands have all been attracting interest from other clubs.

But R's chairman Paladini is adamant players will not be leaving Loftus Road simply to balance the books.

"We've had various offers, but we've decided not to sell any of our best players," Paladini told the Kilburn Times.

"We want to give John Gregory the best chance of achieving our aims.

"It would have to be a stupid offer for us to sell Lee Cook. He is a major player and look how many of our goals come from his assists.

"Clubs like Luton and Leeds are selling players and bringing in a few million pounds, but if there's a shortfall the board will have to come up with the money."
