Dale boss scoops manager's award for September, Pitman named top player
Keith Hill has scooped the League Two manager of the month award after leading Rochdale up to second in the table.
After a difficult opening to the season, Dale enjoyed an excellent September, winning four of their five league games.
They started the month with a 3-3 draw at Morecambe before going on to win 2-1 at home to Torquay and beating Northampton by the same scoreline at Sixfields.
They then thrashed Hereford 4-1 at home before finishing the month with a 2-0 victory at rock bottom Darlington.
Also short-listed for the September award were John Coleman of Accrington Stanley, Bournemouth's Eddie Howe and Paul Simpson of Shrewsbury.
Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman won the player of the month award after scoring four times for the table-toppers, who opened up a four-point lead by the end of the month.
