Accrington Stanley youngster Kurtis Guthrie has joined Blue Square Premier outfit Southport on loan until January. The 18-year-old striker moved to Stanley over the summer following a successful trial, and manager John Coleman believes he is ready for the next stage of his development. "At this point the most important thing is that Kurtis gets games," said the Reds boss. "This is a chance for him to go out and get first team football under his belt which will make him a better player." Guthrie goes straight into the Southport squad for this weekend's game with Stockport.
