Striker available for Cobblers, skipper concern for Seagulls

Karl Hawley returns to the Northampton Town squad against Brighton & Hove Albion, who are sweating on Nicky Forster. On-loan striker Hawley was cup-tied for the Cobblers' valiant Carling Cup penalty shoot-out loss at Sunderland on Tuesday night but is available to face Micky Adams' side. Captain Chris Doig is still out with his groin injury while Frank Fielding is set to keep his place in goal. Fielding was given his debut at the Stadium of Light after Chris Dunn was dropped and enjoyed a superb debut, making excellent saves to deny David Healy and Dean Whitehead.

Brighton news

Brighton captain Forster remains an injury doubt ahead of the trip to Sixfields due to a dead leg. The experienced striker missed Wednesday night's memorable Carling Cup penalty shoot-out win over Manchester City and is still struggling. But centre-half Colin Hawkins will return to the squad following a recent hernia operation provided he suffers no reaction from his first full training session. If Hawkins is passed fit stand-in centre-back Adam Virgo should revert to midfield, while on-loan Preston winger Joe Anyinsah hopes to start after scoring as a substitute against City. Kevin McLeod (knee) is still missing while Joel Lynch and Jonny Dixon this week left on loan to Nottingham Forest and Grays respectively.
