Notts County remain on the brink of relegation from the English Football League for the first time in their history despite a 2-1 win over Grimsby.
A Craig Mackail-Smith strike and a Harry Clifton own goal kept their fading hopes alive at Meadow Lane on Saturday.
But they must now beat Swindon away and hope Macclesfield lose at home to Cambridge on the final day of the season to stay up.
Kane Hemmings was inches away from getting on the end of a dangerous cross before Jim O'Brien had a shot saved by James McKeown on 20 minutes.
Pierce Bird headed wide before Matt Tootle went close with a free-kick as County kept up the pressure.
And Mackail-Smith put the Magpies ahead with a tap-in after a perfect cross by Mitch Rose after 48 minutes.
Clifton turned into his own net to make the game safe for County, before Alex Whitmore scored a consolation six minutes into stoppage time.
