New County boss Steve Cotterill will welcome the return of leading scorer Lee Hughes for the visit of Hereford.
The 33-year-old, who has scored 23 times this season, was suspended for the 1-1 draw with Aldershot last week but returns to the starting line-up on Saturday.
He is one of three players back this week, with Ade Akinbiyi and Karl Hawley also pressing for starting berths having missed out in the same game.
Akinbiyi will be back in contention following a family matter, while Hawley appears to have shaken off a flu virus.
Skipper John Thompson returns to the rearguard having recovered from a thigh injury.
On-loan Birmingham defender Daniel Preston could make his debut for Hereford at Meadow Lane.
The young centre-back participated in training in the week and will be pressing for a starting berth under John Trewick.
The Bulls boss may make changes once again after seeing his side beaten 2-0 at home by Northampton.
Keith Lowe and Lee Morris came in for Sam Gwynne and Matt Done in that match but it is yet to be seen whether they will retain their places.
On-loan West Brom defender Paul Downing missed out through injury on Tuesday and looks doubtful again on Saturday.
Midfielder Jamie Tolley is still recovering from a shin problem which has kept him out for almost a month.
