Skipper Matt Taylor led by example as Exeter cruised past Nuneaton to reach the second round of the FA Cup. The Grecians raced to a four-goal half-time lead thanks to a brace from Taylor, Corr's long-range strike and a Guy Hadland own-goal. Taylor wasted no time in opening the deadlock for Paul Tisdale's men when he fired home from close range in the fourth minute. Nuneaton, who play in the Southern Premier, then got the ball in the net but striker Chris Dillon saw his effort ruled out for offside. Corr made them pay on 31 minutes when he rifled the ball home from 25 yards out into the bottom left-hand corner to all but put the tie beyond Boro. Exeter added a third in comical style after 38 minutes when keeper Darren Acton parried Stuart Fleetwood's effort into Hadland and he looked on helplessly as the ball rolled over the line. Unmarked Taylor then nodded in Alex Russell's corner for a fourth on 44 minutes and although Nuneaton rallied after the break, they could not pull a goal back.
