Windass set for Latics debut, Turner waits on duo

Dean Windass could make his Oldham debut, while Antony Sweeney and Michael Mackay are doubtful for Hartlepool. The teams were scheduled to do battle on Saturday but referee Carl Boyeson called the match off due to a frozen pitch at Boundary Park. The officials moved quickly to rearrange the game for Monday and Oldham are now set to include new signing Windass in their line-up. Mark Allott serves a one-match ban for the Latics after being booked for the fifth time this season in the 1-1 draw at Huddersfield last week. Allott's ban leaves the door open for Kieran Lee, Andy Liddell, Deane Smalley or Dale Stephens to start. Goalkeeper Greg Fleming will continue after veteran No.1 Mark Crossley underwent back surgery last week which will keep him out until at least March.

      Hartlepool news

Sweeney suffered an ankle injury and Mackay hurt his ribs in the first half of Pools' shock 2-0 FA Cup victory against Stoke last weekend and had to be substituted. Jamie McCunnie came on at right-back to replace Sweeney and is likely to start, while David Foley scored a stunning goal after coming on for Mackay and he would be caretaker boss Chris Turner's only striking option to play alongside Joel Porter. James Brown and Willie Boland (both knee) remain long-term absentees.
