Johan Branger-Engone's volley earned Oldham a point in an entertaining 2-2 Sky Bet League One draw with fellow play-off hopefuls Swindon.
The hosts took the lead in the seventh minute when Mohamed Mauche lofted in a free-kick and after Peter Clarke's header was well saved by Luke McCormick, defender George Edmundson applied a close-range finish.
Swindon responded well and after Kyle Bennett's header flicked the outside of a post, levelled on 45 minutes. Edmundson wrestled Theo Robinson to the floor, giving Michael Doughty the chance to slot home a penalty.
Bennett put Swindon in front in the 60th minute, hammering a low right-footed shot home from 18 yards out.
The lead did not last long, with Branger-Engone swivelling on the penalty spot to fire in a smart left-footed volley in the 70th minute.
Callum Lang almost put Oldham back in front with a header from a tight angle that travelled just wide of the far post and later forced another good save from McCormick, while at the other end substitute James Dunne was denied by the outstretched right leg of goalkeeper Daniel Iversen in the 90th minute.
