Highlights of the Carabao Cup match between Oxford and Cheltenham

Cheltenham staged a stunning fightback from 3-1 down to win 4-3 in extra-time against League One Oxford in the first round of the Carabao Cup at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday.

Mo Eisa fired an angled 25-yard shot into the top corner in the 99th minute for his second goal of the night and his third in two games.

But it was substitute Danny Wright who had turned the match for the Robins, diving to head home a Jordan Cranston cross in the 66th minute before bundling in a cross in stoppage time to take the game into an extra 30 minutes.

Earlier, Jon Obika and Xemi Fernandez had scored on their debuts to seemingly put the U's in control.

Eisa stooped to head Cranston's cross past goalkeeper Simon Eastwood in the ninth minute to put Cheltenham ahead.

Rob Hall was tripped by Kyle Storer on the edge of the area 12 minutes later, and although Marvin Johnson's centrally-hit spot-kick was saved by keeper Jonathan Platt, Johnson powerfully drilled home the rebound.

A dreadful defensive header by Jamie Grimes in the 31st minute then presented a gift to Obika and he gratefully accepted the present, drilling a left-footed volley low under the keeper.

Xemi, signed from Barcelona in the summer, then made it 3-1 with a brilliant strike from 25 yards into the bottom corner three minutes before the break.

Hall almost got a fourth in the second half, firing across the face of the goal, but Cheltenham got stronger and stronger and fully deserved their victory after such a dramatic comeback.
