Peterborough 0-1 Burton: Burton boost after Posh performance

Burton returned to the top of Sky Bet League One with a hard-earned 1-0 win at Peterborough.
A stoppage-time goal saw the Brewers beaten 2-1 at home by Shrewsbury on Saturday, allowing Gillingham to climb above them on goal difference, but they got off to a flying start at the ABAX Stadium when midfielder Tom Naylor netted from close range after three minutes.
Posh, defeated by the Gills at the weekend, saw defender Harry Toffolo, the 20-year-old on loan from Norwich, carried off at the end of the first half with a head injury which resulted in more than five minutes of added time.
Burton endured plenty of pressure from the home side in the second half, and thought they had added a late second when Timmy Thiele rounded the goalkeeper a minutes from time, but the German forward was flagged offside.
Nevertheless, Nigel Clough's men closed out victory after some four minutes of stoppage time to move three points clear of Gillingham.
