Peterborough's new signing Adil Nabi could make his full debut in the home game against Burton.
Midfielder Nabi stepped off the bench in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Gillingham after signing for an undisclosed fee from West Brom last week.
Posh handed debuts to two more players who arrived last week, defender Harry Toffolo, on loan from Norwich, and striker Shaquile Coulthirst, a permanent signing from Tottenham, and both will be hoping to resume in the starting line-up.
Midfielder Michael Bostwick (calf) is closing in on a return to action while Gabriel Zakuani (hamstring) remains sidelined and both Jermaine Anderson and Joe Gormley are out for the rest of the season with knee injuries.
Burton midfielder Robbie Weir will return to contention after completing his suspension.
Weir was sent off for the second time this season in the recent home win against Blackpool and has served a two-game ban.
Boss Nigel Clough will also be boosted by the return of defender Shane Cansdell-Sheriff, who missed Saturday's home defeat to Shrewsbury due to a groin injury.
Darius Charles (hamstring) and fellow defender Tom Flanagan, who recently had his appendix removed, both remain sidelined.
