Preston boss Alex Neil is expected to choose from an unchanged squad for the home game against Leeds.
Neil has no new injury or suspension worries following Saturday's defeat at Reading, but is likely to make one or two changes. Forward Sean Maguire and defender Tom Clarke are among those pushing for recalls to the starting line-up.
Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell is also hoping to start after Declan Rudd was selected at Reading as the Lilywhites look to halt a three-game losing run.
Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi will miss the last five games of the season following his latest dismissal at the weekend. Berardi was shown a straight red card in the closing stages of Saturday's home draw against Sunderland and sits out a five-match ban having been dismissed twice before this season.
Defender Paudie O'Connor could continue after making his first senior appearance against the Black Cats as Matthew Pennington (calf), Liam Cooper (thigh) and Conor Shaughnessy (ankle) are expected to miss out again. Forward Kemar Roofe stepped off the bench after a calf injury at the weekend and could start, while midfielder Adam Forshaw (calf), defender Luke Ayling (ankle) and striker Tyler Roberts (shin) all remain sidelined.
Since winning 6-4 at Elland Road in September 2010, Preston have scored just three goals in six league meetings with Leeds, winning none (D2 L4).
Leeds are unbeaten in their last three visits to Deepdale in the Championship (W2 D1), since a 4-1 defeat under Dennis Wise in October 2006.
This is Alex Neil's fourth league meeting with Leeds (W1 D1 L1), facing four different managers in those games (Redfearn, Monk, Christiansen and Heckingbottom).
Kemar Roofe has had a hand in five goals in three Championship matches against Preston for Leeds, scoring two and assisting three.
Preston haven't lost three consecutive home league games since their first three at Deepdale in the 2016-17 campaign.
The Whites are without an away win in the league since Boxing Day (2-1 at Burton), drawing three and losing five since.
