Preston v Wolves preview
Last Updated: 16/02/18 11:55am
Preston will be without Greg Cunningham against Wolves but are hopeful Ben Davies will be back at Deepdale.
Cunningham is suspended having been dismissed in the 1-1 draw with Brentford, while midfielder Ben Pearson also has one match left to serve on his ban. Davies has been back in training following a hamstring problem yet has a virus that boss Alex Neil is hopeful he will overcome.
Paul Gallagher (hamstring) and Tom Clarke (knock) are both doubts while Sean Maguire (hamstring) is still sidelined but could be back in full training next week.
Championship leaders Wolves will check on Leo Bonatini and Romain Saiss. Forward Bonatini missed Saturday's win over QPR due to an unspecified injury while midfielder Saiss (hamstring) has now missed three games in a row.
Saiss and Ruben Neves both remain one yellow card away from a two-game suspension for 10 cautions. Phil Ofosu-Ayeh (ankle) is still a long-term absentee for the table-toppers.
Each of the last three league meetings between these teams at Deepdale have ended as draws, with two of those ending goalless.
Wolves haven't beaten Preston in three consecutive league matches since September 1986 (a run of four).
League leaders Wolves have made the fewest changes to their starting line-up in the Championship this season (33).
Wolves are the first Championship team to record 71+ points after the first 31 games of the season since Reading (76) in 2005-06. The Royals went on to win 106 points in that campaign, a second tier record.
Preston have lost just one of their last 15 Championship matches (W7 D7), losing to Middlesbrough on New Year's Day.
Only Wolves (4) have lost fewer games in the Championship this season than Preston (6 - level with Aston Villa and Derby).
