What a way to win the game...
READING 1-2 DERBY
FT: Frank Lampard tastes victory in his managerial debut as a second-half comeback, thanks to goals from Mason Mount and Tom Lawrence, hands the Rams victory at the Madejski! Not the performance he'd have wanted and Reading are right to be gutted, but a win is a win! Stay tuned for a full report, reaction and highlights...
GOAL! READING 1-2 DERBY (Lawrence, 90+4)
What a way to win the game! Mason Bennett delivers a sumptuous ball from the right flank and Tom Lawrence steers a superb header into the back of the net! Frank Lampard and his backroom staff erupt!
READING 1-1 DERBY
90+3: Both sides are still going for this as we enter the final 90 seconds of the game...
90+1: We'll have FOUR minutes of added time here at the Madejski...
Meite would do well to keep himself to himself in the final stages here...he's already been booked and is now hacking Johnson and pushing Lowe. Not the greatest idea perhaps...
90: SHOT! Yiadom bows to crowd pressure to strike the ball from 30 yards, but his effort catches the wind and drops well beyond the bar into the stands behind the goal.
87: Something of a melee is breaking out here in the final moments of the game. Meite is incensed following a disagreement with Johnson, which saw the Reading man catch his opponent with an elbow. A booking apiece from referee Robert Jones settles the argument.
83: BRILLIANT SAVE! Vito Mannone nimbly gets across his line to superbly push Harry Wilson's close range shot away from danger! Paul McShane ducked the clearance in order to escape scoring an own goal but his goalkeeper comes up trumps at the crucial moment.
84: SUB! David Meyler's Reading debut is over as Bacuna takes to the field in his place.
83: WIDE! Johnson has a penchant for a spectacular goal from range, but as he strikes more than 5 metres wide, that effort won't go down in history by any stretch of the imagination.
79: Wilson and Meyler inadvertantly clash and though the coming together was accidental, the former comes out of it with a free-kick. Nonetheless, it fails to trouble Vito Mannone and we continue.
78: WIDE! Derby have grown in their attacking influence, as expected, and Tom Lawrence has just watched a shot drift wide of the mark after a strike from range.
75: SUB! Yet another sub to report as Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is replaced by Yakou Meite. Successful evening for the Iceland international who opens his account for the season early on.
74: SUB! David Nugent has hardly had any service this evening and will be disappointed to end his evening without a goal as he's replaced for the final stages of the game by Bennett.
WATCH: MOUNT'S EQUALISER
72: We've got less than 20 minutes to play here at the Madejski but will anyone be able to force a winner?
69: SUB! There it is - Joe Ledley taken off as a precautionary measure, with Bradley Johnson his replacement.
68: Some reliable ears close to the touchline are suggesting that Joe Ledley has also picked up a muscular injury - is there a Derby change on the way, too?
67: SUB! John Swift takes to the bench after taking a knock a few moments ago; Sam Baldock takes his place.
66: It looks as though there could be a change in attack on the way as Sam Baldock warms up on the touchline. The new signing would give Keogh and Davies something completely different to think about...
63: As you were then! The atmosphere has just been cranked up a notch and suddenly there's everything to play for once more. Can Reading haul themselves back on top of this one?
GOAL! READING 1-1 DERBY (Mount, 60)
Derby are back in the game and the equaliser has come from Mason Mount, the new loan signing! He picks up the ball outside the area, lines up the shot and watches on as Vito Mannone lets the ball slip through his hands into the back of the net! How quickly one moment can undo so much work...
WATCH: BODVARSSON'S OPENER
See how Reading took the lead through Jon Dadi Bodvarsson's header...
READING 1-0 DERBY
57: There's still a lack of momentum from Lampard's side going forward and they are passing the ball across the backline at the moment without little drive to advance.
58: CHANCE! Lampard's side patiently bring the ball forward and Wilson finds himself on the edge of the area, but loses control of the ball at the crucial moment and the chance escapes him!
GOAL! READING 1-0 DERBY (Bodvarsson, 53)
It's been coming! Reading take the lead at the Madejski as Jon Dadi Bodvarsson heads home Mo Barrow's delightful cross from the left. The crowd of Rams defenders that surround the Iceland international fail to muster a suitable challenge and he makes amends for his two spurned chances in the first half! What can the Rams offer in return?
READING 0-0 DERBY
52: Derby do look like they have plenty of promise on the attack, but as soon as they reach the final third, the menace of Lawrence, Mount et al seems to falter and Reading clear their lines relatively easily each time. The signs have improved however.
48: GOAL DISALLOWED! Derby think they are in front as David Nugent heads the ball beyond Vito Mannone, but the linesman's flag is raised immediately for offside.
47: YELLOW! Another yellow card is dealt out after Max Lowe lunges in on Sone Aluko as the Reading man attacks. The Rams don't look as though they'll be as forgiving this half...
46: We're back underway here at the Madejski, with no changes from either side. Will anyone be able to force an opener in the early stages?
SKY BET PRICE BOOST
Can Reading punish Derby's mistakes? Back Jon Dadi Bodvarsson to score the first goal enhanced from 8/1 to 10/1!
Head here to bet
Wilson blazes over the bar and within seconds, the half-time whistle blows. Reading are incredibly unfortunate to still be level, while their opponents will be counting their lucky stars they are still in this game. Plenty of improvement required from Lampard's Rams.
45+3: Late corner for the visitors is delivered by Wilson, but dealt with effectively by the Reading backline. Lawrence goes down moments later and earns a great chance to net the opener from a free-kick...
45+1: OVER! Pacy, positive football from Reading almost gets rewarded but Aluko curls a shot over the bar into the stand. We'll have two minutes of added time here in Berkshire.
44: YELLOW! A fourth booking is dealt out as Bryson has his name taken following a high challenge on Kelly as the pair tussled to bring Carson's throw into their custody.
42: Derby have dominated possession in this game for sure, but they just do not possess any attacking threat at present. Reading look very, very good on the break.
43: SAVE! Here come the hosts on the attack yet again! Kelly drives a shot towards Carson's near post, but the stopper raises strong palms to push the shot beyond the post.
38: YELLOW! Moments later, Kelly slides in cynically on Mount and is the next to, deservedly, have his name taken.
37: YELLOW! Meyler is the next player into the book as he slides in on Bryson. Lawrence wins the loose ball and it could have been a superb chance to break, yet the referee didn't see this and halted play.
33: Bodvarsson intercepts a pass from Swift but he has his back to goal as Curtis Davies shepherds him away. The frontman puts a foot wrong in the process and concedes a foul.
35: BREAK! Barrow makes a stunning run on the left and hooks a pass across the field in the midst of his electric surge forward. John Swift has his eye on a first-time contact, but the ball skips on the surface and evades him.
31: You can sense the frustration building among the Derby fans and it's totally understandable so far. They've created very little going forward and, frankly, look second best at the moment. It remains goalless however...
29: Reading's summer signing Andy Yiadom looks a threat on the right flank at the moment and finds Bodvarsson on the byline, though the Icelandic striker can't quite create anything as a result. Can Reading maintain this intensity?
26: Slightly worrying stats from a Derby perspective...David Nugent (7) has had less than half the amount of touches his goalkeeper Scott Carson has (15) so far...
22: YELLOW! Andre Wisdom goes into the book as Barrow knocks the ball past him and he shoves him to the ground. Not the worst challenge in the world but it presents the hosts with a decent chance...
23: SAVE! Kelly delivers a whipped free-kick as a result of the challenge on Barrow and tests Carson, though the former England stopper has enough to punch the ball clear.
20: Tom Lawrence shows a glimpse of what he's capable of as he skips forward with the ball on the left flank and tries to pick out Nugent in the centre of the area. The delivery is extremely poor, but the idea was there and he'll surely grow into the game...
18: ANOTHER CHANCE! Keogh gives the ball away cheaply to Bodvarsson once more and the Rams somehow escape; Swift makes the clever run but the pass to the former Chelsea midfielder is overhit.
16: For all their confident demeanour in attack, Derby look laboured going forward and, it has to be said, look the least likely of the two sides to triumph in this one so far.
14: Swift barges into Bryson as the Royals find themselves camped in Derby's final third once more, but the referee spots the infringement and awards the free-kick to the visitors.
12: Passing out from the back caused Derby a handful of problems last term but Lampard seems to be content with the approach and trusts his backline. Keogh's earlier mistake may cause him to think twice in future however...
