Rochdale boss Keith Hill must decide whether to make changes for the home game against Portsmouth.
Hill named an unchanged starting line-up for last week's 4-1 defeat at Sunderland, but could opt to freshen up his side.
On-loan Nottingham Forest forward Zach Clough is not yet ready to return following an ankle injury, while another loanee, Connor Randall, has returned to parent club Liverpool after fracturing his cheekbone.
Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett could name an unchanged starting line-up but may also make changes. Jackett has no new injury or suspension problems following last week's home draw against Wycombe, but his side face eight games in 29 days.
Dion Donohue is still out. The midfielder has yet to feature this season due to illness and injury, but is hoping to return to action early next month. Winger Andre Green, on loan from Aston Villa, remains sidelined following minor knee surgery.
Rochdale have only managed one victory in eight league games against Portsmouth (D2 L5), a 3-0 win at the Crown Oil Arena in March 2014.
Portsmouth have only failed to find the net on one occasions in their eight meetings with Rochdale, scoring 16 goals in total (avg. 2 goals per game).
Rochdale striker Ian Henderson has scored 83 league goals since his debut for the club in March 2013 - 56 more than any other Dale player in that time.
Portsmouth's Ronan Curtis has been involved in 10 goals in just eight League One appearances this season (5 goals, 5 assists), scoring or assisting on average every 71 minutes.
Should Portsmouth avoid defeat, it will be the first time since 1984-85 they have lost none of their first 10 league matches of a season.
