FULL-TIME: ROCHDALE 1-4 STOKE In the end four quality Premier League goal saw off Rochdale's challenge, and it was a fully professional performance from Stoke after a weekend of upsets. Banana skin well and truly tossed off the path.
Walters wraps up the win after getting on the end of Arnautovic's centre to finish past Lillis at the far post. Another great goal from the Premier League side.
Rochdale have shown enough tonight to suggest they are worthy of a play-off spot in League One. Currently in fifth, the remaining few months look bright.
Stoke break, and the ball ends up with Arnautovic in a good position... but he attempts a curling effort which is blocked.
Rochdale not really committing too many men forward, but have a free-kick halfway inside Stoke's half. Camps curls in, but it's dealt with easily.
Arnautovic paces forward and puts in a deep cross, but it's too long for Stephen Ireland as Rochdale clear. All the ball with Stoke now, looking to finish this off.
Corner for Rochdale... Butland comes but is nowhere near it. Stoke eventually clear. Stoke looking a tad nervy...
Rochdale back in it? The free-kick from near the corner flag evades a few players and falls to Bennett, who got his foot ahead of Wollscheid... and the defender slots home past Butland from around eight yards. Good finish.
Good effort from Noble-Lazarus from the free-kick 30 yards out, but it goes a yard over Butland's goal.
CLOSE FOR WALTERS! The Stoke man finds himself in acres after avoiding the offside trap... he attempts to play in Ireland but the ball rebounds back to him, and his toe-poke effort goes inches wide.
Spotland has quietened down hugely, bar the Stoke fans, who believe they're off to Wembley again after their 2011 FA Cup final appearance...
Rochdale have a free-kick 30 yards out, and it's Camps who curls the ball into the box, but Stoke clear.
Wonderful finish from Victor Moses, who picks up the ball on the left and drives into the box. He goes past Rafferty once, goes back and takes him on again, then fires a fantastic effort into the top corner from a tight angle. Fantastic strike.
CHANCE FOR WALTERS! Brilliant delivery from Arnautovic, and it finds Walters at the near post, but his glancing header goes a couple yards wide.
Walters picks up the ball after sloppy Rochdale play... he gives it to Ireland, but his drilled cross is poor and straight out of play.
Moses picks up the ball on the edge of the area, takes on his marker and fires a ball across the six-yard box for Ireland to tap home for 2-0. Good goal, and Premier League quality showed there.
Lots of overturning for both sides in the middle of the park as neither side get a hold on the second half. A deep Stoke free-kick is cleared well by Rochdale. Wilson's long-range effort goes just wide of Lillis' net... and hits a steward on the head.
HALF-TIME: ROCHDALE 0-1 STOKE - Stoke started professionally and looked like they'd killed the mood inside Spotland, but Rochdale have come back into it with one or two chances after Bojan went off injured. His goal was a moment to remember, but when will Stoke fans see him again?
Camps finds a yard central to goal, but his effort is dragged straight into Butland's hands. Rochdale won't want half-time to arrive.
Good play from Rochdale once again... Camps plays in Done behind Bardsley, but his chipped effort over Butland goes just wide.
CHANCE FOR ROCHDALE! Camps takes the ball on his chest and plays through Done perfectly, but he slides the ball just wide as Butland rushes out from his line. Big, big chance.
Wilson is booked for kicking Dawson in the chest as the ball propped up in the air. The free-kick is near the corner flag, and is a good chance for the hosts to test the Premier League side... but Butland collects unchallenged.
CHANCE FOR ROCHDALE! Very good goalkeeping from Butland, who stops the ball at the feet of Dawson as he looked to get onto the end of a flick on from Vincenti.
Butland palms over a long free-kick when he really didn't have to. Vincenti wasn't getting to it... and the corner finds its way to Eastham, but his effort is dragged wide. Decent chance.
You could actually see one or two Stoke fans with their head in hands as soon as Bojan went down. That shows how important the former Barcelona man is for Mark Hughes' side.
Bojan has his head in his hands and he's being brought off. It looked like he jarred his knee, and although he's on his feet, he is limping off the pitch. Mark Hughes looks extremely concerned.
Arnautovic plays in Bojan down the channel with a superb ball... but the Spaniard loses his footing and he looks hurt. Nobody challenged him, and the medical team are on. This does not look good for Stoke.
Vincenti is booked for the challenge... probably just about right, while Bojan is booked for his reaction.
A few handbags between the two sets of players as Moses is on the receiving end of a dangerous tackle from Vincenti. Shawcross and Co come wading in, but it's eventually under control. Mark Hughes looked furious, however.
Bardsley accidentally takes the ball of Arnautovic in a decent position, but loses out to a Rochdale defender. The Austrian midfielder didn't look too happy with that one...
Shawcross is caught out as Done gets the other side of him, but his defensive partner Wollscheid comes back to help and get him out of trouble.
Rochdale right-back Rafferty puts in a decent-looking ball into Done, but it's just over the striker's head as he gets above Shawcross. Unlucky.
Bojan stands over the corner, and it's fired goalwards by Wollscheid, but the defender sees his effort blocked well. Another corner for Bojan, but it's cleared by the first man.
A great turn of pace gets Bojan away from the Rochdale midfield. He feeds Arnautovic but his low cross is poor again. Arnautovic then gets in behind the Rochdale defence, but it's cleared for a corner.
Vincenti turns and attempts to find a yard on the edge of the area, but Shawcross does superbly well to stop him.
Moses picks up the ball near the corner flag and earns a throw, but Rochdale come away with possession. The home fans aren't making much noise at present, and Hughes will be delighted with that.
Arnautovic's cross after a fine move involving Bardsley is cut out by the Rochdale defence. At the other end, Stoke cut out a ball down the channel to Done.
Rochdale haven't been too bad since conceding, and are appealing for a penalty as Dawson is brought down by Wollscheid. Referee Martin Atkinson says no.
Stoke are belting out 'Delilah' in celebration of that superb goal. Does that kill the tie? Let's hope not... Dawson gets a chance to cross from the right but it's over hit.
Unbelievable strike from the little Spaniard. The ball is pumped up front to Walters but Rochdale clear... it's straight to Bojan 20 yards out central of the goal, and he unleashes a fantastic volley into the top corner. Great goal, and Bojan continues his superb form.
Rochdale earn a corner on the right as Shawcross clears a Done effort, but it comes to nothing as Vincenti is caught offside.
Stoke kick-off at Spotland, and N'Zonzi wins a throw down the corner for the visitors. The ball is played through to Walters, but he's offside.
Fantastic atmosphere in Greater Manchester as the teams come out. Stoke backed by a decent following, too.
FORM: Rochdale sit fifth in League One and are back on form having won their last three games after a run of just two wins in nine games. They saw off Championship side Nottingham Forest in round-three at Spotland.

Mark Hughes has begun talks over extending his Stoke contract... The Welshman is just over halfway through the three-year deal he signed on replacing Tony Pulis in the summer of 2013. And a source at Stoke confirmed to Sky the club's board is keen to extend his deal in the medium-term - probably by a further two years.
Mark Hughes is confident his Stoke side will not be caught cold at Rochdale: 'We are used to the weather in these parts and it won't take us long to get back into it,' he said. 'Hopefully, the surface will be okay. We know we've got to go there, face the conditions and get on with it. It won't faze us. We will take the challenge on and make sure we get the job done.
