Dale look to continue form; Saddlers hope for upturn in fortunes

Rochdale will be looking to build on their win over Southampton when they host Walsall in League One. Dale boss Keith Hill looks set to name unchanged side for the home clash. His side recorded an impressive 2-0 victory at St Mary's last weekend and now go in search of their first home win of the season. Hill has no injury or suspension concerns and is keen for his side not to suffer distraction after last weekend's famous win on the south coast. After successive away wins against Brentford and Saints, Hill said: "We have to guard against expectancy, it can be a very dangerous thing. "We are in a new league and we have to remain balanced with regard our expectations. "We are work in progress and despite a few good results and good performances we still remain so." New signing David Davis is in line for his Walsall debut having been handed Premier League clearance. The midfielder penned an initial month-long loan from Wolves on Thursday and will go straight into contention as the Saddlers look to end a three-match losing streak. Striker Darren Byfield has recovered from an Achilles problem and will be available while Ryan McGivern and Will Grigg are also back in contention after their international commitments. However, manager Chris Hutchings continues to be without forward Steve Jones (ankle), who is in the last stage of his recovery, and the versatile Richard Taundry (knee) who will be missing for the next three weeks. Striker Alex Nicholls serves the final game of his three-match ban.
