Scunthorpe welcome back James Perch from suspension for the visit of Gillingham.
Defender Perch missed Sunday's FA Cup defeat at Shrewsbury as he served a one-match ban following his red card against Southend.
Lee Novak and Cameron Burgess picked up knocks on Sunday and will be assessed. Lewis Butroid and Funso Ojo remain on the sidelines for the 20th-placed Iron.
Gillingham, two places higher on goal difference, will be without Brandon Hanlan and Callum Reilly. Forward Hanlan has been ruled out of the trip with a hand injury.
Midfielder Reilly is serving a three-match ban following his red card at Bristol Rovers last month. Billy Bingham is set to return having not been risked in the FA Cup win at non-league Slough.
Since losing each of their first three home games against Gillingham in the Football League between November 1964 and August 1966, Scunthorpe have only lost two of their next 18 at home to the Gills (W8 D8), although they did lose this exact fixture 1-3 last season.
Gillingham have lost just one of their last six league meetings with Scunthorpe (W3 D2), a 5-0 loss in August 2016.
Scunthorpe have won just one of their last nine league games (D1 L7), a 2-1 victory against Bristol Rovers.
Following their 2-1 win against Bristol Rovers in their last away league game, Gillingham will be looking to win back to back away league games for just the second time in 2018, and for the first time since winning their first two games on the road this year.
Scunthorpe boss Stuart McCall has never lost a league game against Gillingham as a manager, winning two and drawing three of his five previous meetings with them, all with former club Bradford City.
