Ipswich manager Roy Keane takes his side to Sheffield United desperate to claim a first victory of the season.

Under-fire Keane up against Blades

Under-pressure Ipswich manager Roy Keane takes his side to Sheffield United desperate to claim a first victory of the season at the 10th time of asking. Keane was jeered by sections of the Portman Road crowd following Saturday's 4-0 home humbling by Newcastle which condemned the Tractor Boys to the worst-ever start in their history. The Blades will be keen to get back to winning ways as they were unable to build on their derby victory over Sheffield Wednesday as they went down 2-1 at Swansea.

Blades team news

Bramall Lane boss Kevin Blackwell will without winger Keith Treacy and striker Jamie Ward on Tuesday evening. Winger Treacy, on loan from Blackburn, sustained a knee injury in Saturday's defeat and could be ruled out for the rest of the season if the Blades' worst fears are confirmed and the Irishman has damaged cruciate ligaments. Ward has missed the last two matches after tearing a hamstring in the recent derby win over the Owls. Skipper Chris Morgan and midfielder Nick Montgomery shook off knocks to start at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday and apart from long-term absentee Gary Naysmith, who is recovering from cruciate knee ligament damage, Blackwell has no other new injury or suspension problems.
Ipswich team news
Ipswich captain Alex Bruce will miss the trip to South Yorkshire through injury. Bruce lasted just 39 minutes of the humiliating 4-0 defeat at home to Newcastle before coming off with a groin problem and is set for a fortnight on the sidelines. Town were already 3-0 down by the time 19-year-old Tommy Smith came on to replace Bruce and the teenager could partner Pim Balkestein at centre-half unless Gareth McAuley declares himself fit. McAuley injured a calf while getting sent off against Nottingham Forest recently and was not in the squad against Newcastle. Keane may recall Pablo Counago or Jon Stead to his side after playing Tamas Priskin as a lone frontman against the Magpies, while winger Lee Martin is another option available to the under-pressure manager. Midfielders Luciano Civelli and David Norris remain sidelined with long-term knee injuries while Ben Thatcher will not be considered after reporting late for training.
