Sheff Wed v Bristol R preview

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol Rovers at Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine will be without Lewis Buxton for the visit of Bristol Rovers. Buxton, who returned to the Wednesday starting line-up in the 2-1 defeat to Swindon after missing the previous three games with a hamstring injury, limped off in the second-half at the County Ground and is ruled out. With fellow defender Jon Otsemobor also ruled out having missed the last six games due to a calf strain, Daniel Jones is set to deputise at right-back. Striker Neil Mellor missed the game against Danny Wilson's men and is again unavailable with an ankle problem with Jermaine Johnson likely to keep his place up front. Gary Teale should continue in midfield while Giles Coke is pushing for a starting place. Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope has just one injury concern heading into the clash against the Owls. Stuart Campbell suffered a neck injury in a practice match during the week but, following treatment from a chiropractor, is likely to be fit enough to make the squad. Charlie Rees returns from a rib injury after missing four games, while Byron Anthony and Carl Regan both return from suspension to take their place in the squad. Striker Will Hoskins could be in line for a recall to the starting line-up after being given an extra week of training following his return from an ankle injury. Trollope has no other injury or suspension problems as the Pirates look to end a three-game winless run.
