Sheff Wed v Notts County preview

Image: Marshall: Could debut for Owls

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Sheffield Wednesday v Notts County at Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday's latest signing Ben Marshall could make his debut in the home game with Notts County. The 20-year-old Stoke winger, who this week signed on loan until January, is expected to go straight into the starting line-up. Skipper Rob Jones is doubtful after breaking his nose in the midweek defeat at Bury, so Mark Beevers is likely to return in central defence alongside Danny Batth for his first league appearance of the season. Summer signing Chris O'Grady is sidelined again with a foot problem that has been troubling him in recent weeks and that restricted him to just 29 minutes on his debut in midweek following his recent move from Rochdale. Manager Gary Megson has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side look to bounce back from successive league defeats. Notts County will be without Ricky Ravenhill when they travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday. The midfielder was forced off with a head injury after 35 minutes of the thrilling 3-2 home victory over Tranmere on Tuesday night and is still suffering from concussion. Alan Judge replaced Ravenhill against Rovers to make his first appearance of the season following a hamstring injury and the former Blackburn trainee could keep his place in the team. Ishmel Demontagnac is another option for manager Martin Allen, while defender Jude Stirling and striker Karl Hawley could also come into contention if Allen feels the need to freshen things up. Defenders Jon Harley (calf) and Stephen Hunt (ankle) and forward Ben Burgess (hamstring) remain sidelined.
