Shrewsbury winger Shaun Whalley is expected to miss the visit of Barnsley on Tuesday.
He suffered a calf injury in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Sunderland and boss John Askey does not expect him to be fit. Fellow winger Abo Eisa has returned to training after a knee ligament injury but is not fit enough to feature. Shrewsbury have only won twice in Sky Bet League One this season.
Daniel Pinillos is banned for Barnsley's trip to Shropshire. The midfielder collected his fifth yellow card of the season in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Charlton.
Cauley Woodrow has returned to training as he battles a muscle injury. Zeki Fryers and Lloyd Isgrove have been injured recently and are unlikely to return soon.
Shrewsbury have won just one of their last seven league games against Barnsley (D1 L5), a 2-1 win in September 2015.
Barnsley last visited Shrewsbury for a league match in January 2016 - they won 3-0 under manager Lee Johnson.
Shewsbury have lost each of their last two games in League One - they haven't lost three consecutive league games in the same season since April 2017 (a run of four).
Barnsley suffered a 2-0 defeat against Charlton last time out, however they haven't lost back-to-back games in the third tier since November 2015 (a run of eight).
Alex Gilliead has been directly involved in three of Shrewsbury's last five league goals on home soil (one goal and two assists).
