Shrewsbury v Chesterfield preview

John Sheridan makes a bid for his first away win as Chesterfield boss against Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Riza out for Shrews; no injury worries for Spireites

Chesterfield will look to build on their surprise victory over Notts County when they take on Shrewsbury at the New Meadow. The hosts will be without striker Omer Riza, who turned his ankle in the Shrews' 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Dagenham & Redbridge. Early indications indicate that Riza has damaged ligaments in the ankle and now faces up to eight weeks on the sidelines. Left-midfielder Lewis Neal has almost completed his recovery from an ankle injury but Saturday's clash is likely to come too soon for the 28-year-old. Paul Murray is doubtful having missed out in midweek due to a minor Achilles problem, while Mike Jackson is still injured and definitely will not feature.

Chesterfield News

Spireites boss John Sheridan is set to name an unchanged line-up for the third game in succession on Saturday. Sheridan's side are coming off back-to-back home wins against Northampton and Notts County and has no new injury worries to contend with. Defenders Alan Goodall and Gregor Robertson have both recovered sufficiently from respective ankle and hip problems and are passed fit to play. However, neither are likely to make the starting line-up as Sheridan looks to secure his first away win since taking charge at Saltergate.
