Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Shrewsbury Town and Gillingham at the New Meadow.

Shrewsbury are likely to be close to full strength. Town have had to cope with their fair share of injury problems of late but the club's treatment room is finally starting to clear. Midfielder Sean McAllister continues to recover from his hernia operation, while young striker Tom Bradshaw is not yet ready to return from his ankle injury. But elsewhere there is promising news for manager Graham Turner. Forward Benjamin van den Broek (knee) and defender Kelvin Lomax (ligament) played the full 90 minutes of the reserves' goalless draw against Burnley on Wednesday. Striker Nathan Elder (knee) and defender Dave Raven (hip) also came off the bench to step up their recoveries by playing the final half-an-hour. However, it remains to be seen how many of those on the verge of making comebacks are involved against Gills as Shrews end an enforced two-week break following last week's postponement at Rotherham. Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler could have Josh Gowling available. The 27-year-old centre-back has missed the last four games with an ankle injury but comes back into contention. Winger Andy Barcham, who made his comeback from an ankle injury of his own last weekend as a 67th-minute substitute against Bury, has not trained all week but will be named in the squad. Midfielder Mark Bentley will also be named in the squad despite asking for his name to be circulated around the Football League for a possible loan move. Simon King will again miss out with an ongoing ankle problem that has limited his time on the pitch over the last two years.
